The pair was better than Monday and hopefully tomorrow will be better than today. We are struggling with steering a bit. There is a lot to think about when you row in a pair.
#1: Don't flip
#2: Don't run into anything
#3: Time your stroke perfectly
#4: Follow the person in front or behind you
#5: Be patient
I am confident that if we continue to row in the pair together we will get significantly better. To be successful in the pair you have to have a stable core and solid finishes which will make both of us stonger rowers when we get together in the 4+. Although we were out for 90 minutes we did not get any type of cardiovascular workout. So this afternoon I will go for a bike ride around Fairmont Park to get my cardio in for the day.
I am also doing some site seeing at the Art Museum today. I have been to Philly 6-7 times and walked past that thing probably a hundred times but I have never been inside. I hope it's as cool on the inside as it is on the outside.
